Kevin Clarkson

After 30 years as a commercial graphic designer and illustrator, Kevin began a second career as a painter. His work is representational in the English landscape tradition, capturing elemental forces of land, sea, and sky. Kevin's first one-man show was held at the Ignition Gallery, The Historic Dockyard Chatham in 2011. He was featured as the Online Gallery 'Artist of the Month' (November 2012) in The Artist Magazine and has contributed articles to Painters Online and the National Maritime Museum. Recently his seascape painting techniques featured on 'Painters Online' website newsletter, hosted by "The Artist" and "Leisure Painter" periodicals. Vice-Chairman of the National Maritime Museum Art Club, he has work on show in the Members Room of the Museum with other members of the club. Kevin also demonstrates painting techniques with acrylics and watercolour. This summer he will be performing demonstrations at the Guildhall Museum, Rochester at various events. His work is represented in a number of private collections in Canada, the Channel Islands, France, the US and the UK.
